Instructions

Main Part

1. The pattern is 8sts * 4 rows, we should start the blanket with  8*N+2 sts.

2. We need to change color every row. Keep the main color yarn un-cut.  R1 and R4 face to the right side, R2 and R3 face to the wrong side.

3. All 10-ch loop put at right side, and the loop is just a loop, doesn't count as sts.

Make a 130 ( 178, 226) sts chain.

R1: Main Color and crochet on the bumps on the back of the chain.

3ch ( count as 1st dc),1dc on next bump, *10ch, 1sl to the last dc st, 1dc on each of next 6 bumps, 10ch, 1sl on the last dc st, 1dc on each of next 2 bumps**, repeat from * to ** till finished, don't cut the yarn.

R2:change to Minor Color A, 3ch, turn the fabric,2dc on the next st, *10ch, sl to make a loop, skip one st, 1dc on each of next 4 sts, 10ch, sl to make a loop,  skip one st, 2dc on each of next 2sts**,  repeat from * to **,  1dc on last st instead of 2dc. Cut the yarn.

R3:Don't turn the fabric, still face to the wrong side, use the main color yarn to crochet.

3ch ( this counts as the 1st dc), 1dc on next st, 2dc on next st, *10-ch loop, skip 1st, 1dc on each of next 2sts, 10-ch loop, skip 1st, 2dc on next st, 1dc on each of next 2sts, 2dc on next sc**, repeat from * to **, ignore the last 2dc for the last repeat.

R4: Change to Minor color B, 3ch, turn the fabric. Face to the right side.

3ch ( count as 1st dc), 1dc on each of next 2 sts, *10-ch loop, skip one st, 2dc on each of next 2sts, 10-ch loop, skip 1st, 1dc on each of next 4sts**. Repeat from * to ** till finished, 1dc on each of next 3sts for the last repeat.

Repeat R1-R4 till total 86 ( 114, 142) rows.

Last Row: 1dc on each st, no loops.

Cut the yarn and start to weave the loops.

Border

Border Set up Row:

The R1 counts as the 1st row of the border. Face to the right with the fabric upside down,  start from the 130th ( 178th, 226th) st of the set-up chain, 4dc in the 3rd ch st of R1 3-ch st( 1st dc), put a marker on the 2nd dc as the corner st. Start to work on the side.

2dc in each row, 5dc on the 1st st of R87 ( R115, R143), put a marker on the 2nd st as the corner st. Start to work on the top row.

1dc on each st, 5dc on the last st, put a marker on the 3rd st as the corner st. Start to work the left side.

2dc in each row, 4dc in the last st of R1 of the marin part. Put a marker on the 2nd dc as a corner st. sl to the 1st chain st of the set-up row to join.

R1: Still use main color yarn. sl to next st, 1ch ( doesn't count as any st), 1sc on the same st, 1ch, skip 1st, 1sc, repeat *( 1ch, skip 1st, 1sc) till 1st before the corner st, 1ch, skip one st, ( 1sc, 2ch, 1sc) in the corner st**, Repeat from * to ** 3 more times, ( 1ch, skip 1st, 1sc) twice, 1ch, sl to the 1st sc to joint, cut the yarn.

This is a little difference from the tutoring video, I think this is better than the way I crocheted in the video.

R2: Change to Minor Color B, start from any 1-ch space of R1. 1ch ( doesn't count as any st), 1sc in the same space, 1ch, 1sc in the next 1-ch space, repeat ( 1ch, 1sc in the next 1-ch space), crochet ( 1sc, 2ch, 1sc) in the 2-ch space corner.

R3: still us the Minor Color B, 1sl move the st to the 1-ch space, then same as R2.

R4: Change to Minor Color A, same as R2

R5-6: Change to Minor Color B, same as R2-R3.

R7: Still use Minor Color B, ( 1ch, 1sl) on each st, (1ch, 1sl) *3 in the 2-ch corner st.
