Week 10 — Lavender

Since we're visiting our son in Georgia this week, there won't be a flower of the week update for next week.

This week's flower is lavender.

Kit is prepared as always.

Kit Includes all the accessories and tools, the kit can make 6 bunches of lavenders. There are 5 bunches lavenders in the picture. We have 2 pre-designed colors, and you also can choose any color in our Kalors sport yarn.


Kalors Sport yarn ( total 2 skeins)

#55 Grass is default color for the leaves.
Any color for the flower from our 89-color Kalors Sport yarn

Flower Tape Green 1 roll

24AWG Craft wire 1 roll/44 yards

Fake flower stems 6 pcs

1.8mm crochet hook 1pcs

Instructions

 

Flower

The flowers are made by 7 or 8 groups of small petals. One bunch need 2pcs of 8-group flowers, and 1pc of 7-group flower. There is a 2" space between each group. Each group contains 6 small petals, and there is a 3/8" space between each petal.

Leave 2" tail when make the first st.

1st Group: 2ch, 1sl on the 2nd bump, pull the loop over the petal, skip 3/8" yarn, then repeat 5 times more, total 6 petals.

2nd Group: Skip 2" long yarn, 3ch, 1sl on the 3rd bump, pull the loop over the petal, skip 3/8" yarn, then repeat 5 times more, total 6 petals.

3rd Group: Skip 2" long yarn, 3ch, 1sl on each of the 2nd and 3rd bump, pull the loop over the petal, skip 3/8" yarn, then repeat 5 times more, total 6 petals.

4th Group: Skip 2" long yarn, 3ch, 1hdc on the 2nd bump, 1sl on the 3rd bump, pull the loop over the petal, skip 3/8" yarn, then repeat 5 times more, total 6 petals.

5th Group is same as 4th Group.

 

 

6th Group: Skip 2" long yarn, 4ch, 1hdc on the 2nd bump, 1sl on each of  the 3rd and 4th bump, pull the loop over the petal, skip 3/8" yarn, then repeat 5 times more, total 6 petals.

7th and 8th Groups are same as 6th Group.

Leaves

There are 2 sizes of le aves, we need 4 of each for one bunch.

16 (18)ch, add the 8" long wire, 1sc on the first bump, 1hdc on each of next 8 ( 10) bumps, 1sc on each of next 6 bumps. ( 1sc, 2ch, 1sl on the 2nd bump of the 2ch, 1sc) on the very last st ( not bump), then start to work on other side of the chain.

Back loop only ! 1sc on each of the next 6 sts, 1hdc on each of next 8 (10) sts, 1sc on the last st, 1sl on the 1st sc st to join.
